Paige Jones accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ core practice areas, with particular interest in police law, inquests and inquiries, and public and administrative law.
She is instructed through the Government Legal Department’s ‘Junior Junior’ scheme and is cleared to act and advise on cases touching upon national security and other sensitive matters.
Paige has experience advising a range of clients including police forces, government departments and individuals. Paige regularly appears in court making civil applications, such as those under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the Stalking Protection Act 2019.
Paige qualified with a first-class LLB and a distinction in her LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Liverpool. Paige was called to the Bar in 2021, having been marked as Outstanding in the completion of the Barrister Training Course.

Paige has a strong interest in inquest work. Prior to qualification, Paige worked at a law firm in the Northwest of England, and has experience working with bereaved families in inquests, including Article 2 and jury inquests, concerning self-inflicted deaths in prison and mental health settings such as:
Paige is being lead in an inquest into the death of a British soldier, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
Paige has extensive experience of civil applications on behalf of different police forces across the country such as (a) Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, (b) Stalking Protection Orders and (c) Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 proceedings.
She also advises on civil claims against the police frequently including allegations of assault, trespass, and false imprisonment.

Paige also has experience in claims for damages arising out of alleged breach of the Equality Act 2010 and breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998.
Paige has experience in advising on liability and quantum in civil claims for personal injury and damages against police forces, government bodies and/or arising from inquests, including claims with Human Rights Act and Equality Act elements such as:
Paige has a growing public law practice. She has strong knowledge of administrative law and equality and human rights issues.
Prior to pupillage, Paige assisted with a group claim bringing an action against the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions for disability discrimination on behalf on more than 300 claimants.
She has authored a number of articles, particularly relating to civil liberties, in the Legal Action Group Magazine.
Matters relating to the retention, management, and handling of information regularly arise throughout Paige’s practice and she has advised clients on information law and data protection issues relating to the GDPR, Data Protection Acts and the Freedom of Information Act. This includes claims for breach of the Data Protection Act in the employment and prison context.
Prior to pupillage, Paige advised a national charity on delicate issues surrounding disclosure of individuals’ health status to prospective employers.
Paige has experience advising on matters of discrimination in the context of employment and the provision of public services. Paige has previously advised a national charity and individuals on delicate matters of health and disability related discrimination and, through her work at the Liverpool Law Clinic, created an employment law information pack for parents of children with long term care needs at Alder Hey Hospital.
