Chambers is delighted to welcome two new pupils.
Today, Paige Jones and Jack Palmer commence a 12 month pupillage at 5 Essex Chambers. This date also marks Edmund Garnett's first day as a tenant. Edmund accepted an offer of tenancy after successfully completing his pupillage with Chambers.
Prior to pupillage, Paige worked as an inquest paralegal in the North West of England pursuing cases on behalf of bereaved families. She has also worked as a paralegal at Leigh Day solicitors assisting on cases covering complex areas of discrimination, human rights and employment law. During this time, she co-authored articles published in the Discrimination Law Association Briefings Journal. She comments: ‘I’m looking forward to starting pupillage and getting involved in the work that Chambers is so well-known for.’
Before starting pupillage, Jack worked in the Energy and Environmental technology industries. He also represented members of the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union in employment disputes and was a researcher at the Environmental Law Policy clinic. Jack comments: ‘With the combination of Chambers’ welcoming atmosphere and fascinating work, I cannot think of a better place to be starting my career as a barrister.’
Both pupils will be acquiring experience across Chambers’ core practice areas.
