Jack accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ core practice areas, with particular interest in public and administrative law, including judicial review and human rights, police law, inquests and inquiries, and data protection and information law.
He acted as junior counsel for the Ministry of Justice in the inquest into the Reading terror attacks in Forbury Gardens. He welcomes instructions as part of a counsel team and to appear unled. He is regularly instructed in multi-day inquests on behalf of government bodies. He has experience unled with many forms of civil case including judicial review, defamation, data protection, false imprisonment, malfeasance, claims under the Human Rights Act and Equality Act, and personal injury cases at all levels of court up to the High Court.
Prior to Pupillage, Jack worked in the Energy and Environmental technology industries after being granted a First from the University of Oxford. Jack was awarded an Outstanding grade in his Bar Vocational Studies course and was the recipient of Middle Temple’s Queen Mother Scholarship.
