Today, Module 2 of the UK COVID-19 Inquiry opened, which explores the UK’s core political and administrative decision-making in response to Covid-19. The Inquiry opened with a statement from the Chair, Baroness Hallett, followed by an impact video, and the opening statement of Counsel to the Inquiry.
Those appearing in person at the hearing today from 5 Essex Chambers include Anne Studd KC (for the Cabinet Office), Claire Palmer (for NHS England) and Robert Cohen (for the UK Statistics Authority).
A number of other members of Chambers are instructed for core participants in the Inquiry.
