Mark Waller heads up the team and oversees the clerking at 5 Essex Chambers. He joined Chambers in 1998 and was promoted to Senior Clerk in 2001.
Mark has operational responsibility for clerking and professional matters including client care and management to ensure that an efficient business service is provided to clients. He has an in-depth knowledge of each member’s practice and is therefore able to advise clients on their choice of counsel as well as to discuss fees. He has overall responsibility for the development of members’ practices and the development of Chambers as a whole and is the principal point of contact in relation to new instructions.
Before joining 5 Essex Chambers, Mark worked at Farrar’s Building, 1 Kings Bench Walk, Byrom Chambers and 9 Gough Square in a clerking career spanning 30 years.
