His Honour Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith gave his findings and conclusions in the Tunisia Inquests at the Royal Courts of Justice on 28 February 2017, having commenced the final hearings on 16 January.
Samantha Leek QC, Jonathan Dixey and Aaron Moss were appointed as Counsel to the Inquests.
The Coroner found that each of the 30 British deceased victims had been unlawfully killed. He held that it was not open to him in law to find that the deaths had been caused or contributed to by neglect.
The Coroner is yet to receive submissions on whether he should write a Report to Prevent Future Deaths, and if so what matters it might address.
