Samantha Leek QC will share her considerable inquest knowledge at this year’s Coroners Society National Conference which starts on the 27th September. The conference will focus on The Challenge of Terrorism, and Sam will discuss inquests relating to multiple fatalities as a result of a terrorist attack. Sam will be one of several eminent speakers including the Chief Coroner His Honour Judge Mark Lucraft QC, and Lady Hale, President of the Supreme Court.
Sam is ranked as a Band 1 Silk for Inquests and Inquiries and is a member of 5 Essex Chambers Chambers. Examples of her work include inquests and inquiries into the deaths of, the victims of the London Bridge and Westminster attacks; Sri Lanka Bombings; Birmingham Pub Bombings, the Hillsborough victims, Mark Duggan, Jean Charles de Menezes, the victims of the Marchioness Disaster, those killed in the Bataclan attacks and the victims of the Tunisia shootings.
