Stella accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ core practice areas, with particular focus on police law, public law and civil claims. She has a developing interest in professional discipline and internal investigations.
Stella primarily acts for public authorities, including police forces across the country. She appears regularly in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court in civil application as well as the County Court in civil claims. She has developed particular expertise in protective orders (SPOs, SROs, SHPOs etc.), Proceeds of Crime Act forfeiture and other applications on behalf of the police.
Stella is considered by her professional clients as pragmatic and responsive, providing clear and prompt advice and working closely with those instructing her to identify and resolve potential issues at an early stage.
Before pupillage, she was Head of Compliance for Europe at a global consulting firm. Drawing on this experience, Stella is particularly well-placed to handle and advise on sensitive issues and reputational risks.
Stella completed the GDL (Distinction) and Bar Course (Outstanding) at the University of Law. She is a Queen Mother Scholar of Middle Temple and holds Master’s degrees in Global Policy Studies and Asian Studies from the University of Texas, supported by scholarships from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service.
