Police Law Conference returns for 25th year

Our annual Police Law Conference celebrated its 25^th year last week. The Waldorf Hilton, London, provided an oasis of calm on the hottest day of the year so far, as we enjoyed a varied programme of presentations and interactive sessions tackling the latest case law and topics facing those working in police law.

We were delighted to welcome Neil Basu QPM, who gave an impassioned and informative keynote speech, ‘Is police reform the answer to extremism?’ before taking questions from the room.

Attended by over 100 solicitors specialising in police law, 5 Essex Chambers expert barristers guided delegates through a narrative scenario presenting legal problems along the way. Group discussions and model answers equip delegates with the knowledge to respond to the real-world challenges they face on a daily basis.
