Peter Laverack acts in a challenge to St Vincent and the Grenadines’ laws that criminalise same-sex sexual intimacy

11 May 2023

Peter Laverack, today, starts a four-day trial in the High Court of St Vincent and the Grenadines, appearing on behalf of two Claimants who challenge the constitutionality of laws that criminalise consensual sexual intimacy between persons of the same sex.  These two claims against the 'buggery' and 'gross indecency' laws were filed in July 2019 by two gay citizens of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Javin Johnson and Sean Macleish. Peter is called to the Bar of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
