Leah Arthur and Harry Thomas accept tenancy invitation to join 5 Essex Chambers

We are delighted to announce that current pupils Leah Arthur and Harry Thomas have accepted an invitation to join chambers as tenants.

They both started their pupillage at 5 Essex Chambers in September 2025 and will officially become tenants in September 2026.

Head of Chambers, Jason Beer KC, comments: “I am so pleased that Leah and Harry are joining 5 Essex Chambers as tenants.  We value the fact they have each taken very different routes to the Bar and know that they have stellar careers ahead of them.  On a personal note, I am particularly pleased that Leah and Harry each chose 5 Essex.“

Leah says: “I feel incredibly privileged to be joining 5 Essex Chambers as a tenant. This milestone has been no small feat. As I begin this exciting new chapter, I do so with immense gratitude for my supervisors, other members of chambers and the clerks, who have supported me every step of the way.  I look forward to continuing to learn and grow as I build my practice.“

Harry comments: “I’m excited to join 5 Essex Chambers as a tenant. I’ve greatly valued the continuing opportunity to learn from such impressive and supportive colleagues during my pupillage here. I look forward to building my practice.”
