5 Essex Chambers is pleased to announce that Jennifer Wright has accepted an invitation to join chambers as a tenant. Jennifer commenced pupillage at 5 Essex Chambers in September 2019, during which time she has gained experience across Chambers’ core practice areas, particularly police law, and assisted on inquiries including the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse. Before undertaking pupillage, Jennifer volunteered with the Prisoner’s Advice Service where her responsibilities included drafting representations to the Parole Board, responding to prisoners’ letters and phone calls seeking legal advice, undertaking research, and advising in person at prison clinics.
Head of Chambers, Jason Beer QC, comments: “We are delighted that Jennifer has accepted tenancy with Chambers. Jennifer has been a great pupil, and is a fabulous addition to Chambers. I am sure she will build a highly successful practice.”
Jennifer will officially become a tenant of 5 Essex Chambers on 1st September 2020.
