The Inquest Law team at 5 Essex Chambers is holding its first Inquest Law Conference which will be chaired by Samantha Leek QC.
The full day Conference will be held in Manchester on 2 November (Malmaison, Piccadilly) and in London on 8 November (Grand Connaught Rooms, Holborn).
Keynote speakers: Chief Coroner, HH Judge Mark Lucraft QC (London) and Senior Coroner, Nigel Meadows(Manchester).
The Conference will provide a practical guide to the successful navigation of each stage of a coroner’s investigation. Our specialist speakers will review the latest legal and procedural developments and address the practicalities of managing the process effectively through a strategic approach.
The full day event will comprise a keynote address and a range of talks by members of our Inquest Law Team focussing on all aspects of the preparation for, and conduct of, inquests. The sessions will also include a round-up of recent case law as well as considering further changes on the horizon.
5 Essex Chambers barristers will share their experience, having been involved in some of the most significant inquests in recent years including Hillsborough, 7/7 London Bombings, Tunisian shootings, Mark Duggan, Alexander Perepilichny.
