Increase to the Pupillage Award

5 Essex Chambers is delighted to increase its pupillage award for the forthcoming pupillage application round. The new award will be £55,000 comprising a £30,000 grant and £25,000 guaranteed earnings.

Head of Chambers, Jason Beer QC, said “As part of Chambers’ continued commitment to its pupils, I am delighted to announce a significant increase in our financial offering to £55,000, including a substantial element of guaranteed earnings in the second six months. This will enable us to continue to recruit the very best candidates, regardless of their background.”

The substantial increase to our pupillage award further demonstrates our determination to invest in our pupils, who almost always go on to become tenants at 5 Essex Chambers.”
