WEBINAR – How information law arises through other legal claims

Join our webinar on 10th November at 10.00am to hear directly from our experts.

Speakers: Aaron Moss, John Goss and Eleanor Guildford.

We regularly encounter matters where information law arises not as standalone issue, but as part of broader legal cases. We often address issues about how information is collected, used, and shared as part of these cases. Sometimes these can shape the principles of information law, even when the cases themselves are not directly about information governance. As counsel, we find that arguments rooted in data protection or confidentiality are increasingly central to litigation strategies, even where the primary claim lies elsewhere.

In this webinar we’ll cover:

  • Subject access requests about matters subject to litigation
  • The right to erasure and its relationship with litigation
  • Claims about the handling of personal data within other court proceedings
  • Data protection in inquests, inquiries and investigations

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the webinar, but delegates are welcome to send questions/issues of interest to events@5essex.co.uk ahead of the event.

This event will be CPD accredited.
