The Inquiry into the Grenfell Tower Fire will hear opening statements from 4 June. The opening statements from Counsel to the Inquiry and Counsel to the individual and organisational core participants form part of the “Phase 1 Evidence” of the Inquiry. These follow the commemoration hearings which were held at the end of May.
Seven Members of Chambers are instructed in the Inquiry:
Jason Beer QC is instructed on behalf of the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government
Jeremy Johnson QC and Amy Clarke are instructed on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service
Anne Studd QC and John Goss are instructed on behalf of the Mayor of London
Jonathan Dixey is instructed on behalf of the Home Office
Alex Ustych is retained by the Inquiry as Junior Counsel
