The Inquest into the death of Welsh Assembly member Carl Sargeant has been adjourned following a week of evidence including that of the First Minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones.
Carl Sargeant was found hanged at his home on 7 November 2017. He had been removed from his Ministerial Position on 3 November 2017 amidst allegations of inappropriate behaviour made by a number of women.
The First Minister is to be recalled when the inquest resumes and a challenge by way of judicial review is anticipated in the meantime.
Georgina Wolfe is instructed on behalf of the Labour Party. Mr Sargeant’s family are represented by Leslie Thomas QC, and the First Minister by Cathryn McGahey QC.
