5 Essex Chambers is pleased to announce that both Francesca Whitelaw and Alex Ustych have been successful in this year’s applications for promotion on the Attorney General’s Panel of Counsel.
During her time on B Panel, Francesca advised and represented Government bodies in false imprisonment, misfeasance, human rights, judicial review and other claims and she was instructed in some of the most high profile inquests and inquiries of recent years including the Westminster and London Bridge Terror Attacks Inquests, the Infected Blood Inquiry and the Deepcut Inquests.
During his time on C Panel, Alex represented a variety of Government agencies in cases touching on topical areas such as transgender rights, data protection and freedom of expression. In doing so, Alex appeared in a range of courts/tribunals, including the Court of Appeal.
Chambers wishes Francesca and Alex the very best for their new appointments.
