R (Tortoise Media) v The Conservative Party

Two of the editors of The Data Brief, Alan Payne KC and Aaron Moss, are acting for Tortoise Media in its claim for judicial review of the decision of the Conservative Party not to provide information concerning its procedures for electing its leader. Tortoise Media relies on Article 10 ECHR as providing a freestanding right to information.

The claim was issued on 10 October 2022. Tortoise Media has published the Statement of Facts and Grounds and its witness evidence on its website.
