Charlotte Ventham sworn in as Recorder of the Crown Court

15 March 2021

Charlotte Ventham has today been sworn in as a Recorder of the Crown Court. Charlotte’s appointment follows a demanding selection process involving a large pool of applicants. It is a significant achievement to have been selected, and Charlotte is delighted to add a part-time judicial aspect to her practice.

Charlotte will continue to practise from 5 Essex Chambers where she has extensive police law experience. Charlotte is recognised as a leading junior and specialises in police law, public law, human rights, discrimination, inquests and inquiries, and malfeasance claims – she is looking forward to developing a further insight into her practice from this new judicial perspective.
