Chambers is delighted to welcome two new pupils.
Conor Monighan and Sarah Dobbie commenced a 12 month pupillage at 5 Essex Chambers on 1st September. This date also marked Jennifer Wright's first day as a tenant at 5 Essex Chambers. Jennifer accepted an offer of tenancy after successfully completing her pupillage with Chambers.
Prior to pupillage, Conor worked as an advocate in the County Court where he conducted over 100 hearings. Conor also volunteered for Liberty where he provided written and oral advice on a wide variety of human rights issues. Conor is a long-standing contributor to the UK Human Rights Blog, provided advice to the public whilst volunteering at Liberty, and has successfully appeared in the Employment Tribunal
Before starting pupillage, Sarah worked as a research assistant to Jennifer Robinson at Doughty Street Chambers and Jason Pobjoy at Blackstone Chambers. She has also worked as a Legal Advisor for St Andrew’s Refugee Service in Egypt, a Graduate Lawyer at international law firm Allens, and a volunteer Refugee Field Attorney in Greece.
Sarah’s pupillage supervisor in the first few months will be Beatrice Collier; Conor will be supervised by Jonathan Dixey. Both pupils will be acquiring experience across Chambers’ core practice areas.
