Chambers is delighted to welcome two new pupils, J Ockenden and Millicent Wild as they commence a 12-month pupillage at 5 Essex Court today.
Before starting Pupillage, J had an active mooting career. J also coaches GDL students in mooting at Oxford Brookes and is a prize-winning literary translator.
Prior to pupillage, Millicent was a diplomat working for the UK Foreign and Development Office on human rights issues in Myanmar. She also worked as a legal intern in the UK Foreign Office, assisting on a high-profile diplomatic immunity case and several public inquiries.
Both pupils will be acquiring experience across Chambers’ core practice areas.
Jason Beer KC, Head of Chambers comments, “We are delighted to welcome Millie and J as pupil in Chambers. They are both very impressive academically, but have undertaken a wide range of activities outside of the law – making them well accomplished and versatile individuals. I am relishing the opportunity to see them grow as pupils over the next 12 months.”
