Aaron Moss is speaking at the Annual Conference of the National Association of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officers (NADPO) which is hosted by Mishcon de Reya.
Aaron is speaking about the limits of information and data rights, including the on-going judicial review claim in which he is acting for Tortoise Media, against the Conservative Party. In that claim, Tortoise seeks to enforce its Article 10 ECHR rights to information, in respect of the leadership election which put Liz Truss in Downing Street.
The keynote speech at the NADPO Annual Conference will be given by the Information Commissioner, John Edwards.
Aaron acts for claimants and defendants in data protection claims and cases concerning information law, as well as advising on processes and agreements for data sharing and processing. Recent reported cases include Williams v IC and The Home Office concerning the disclosure of reports prepared by the Extremism Analysis Unit, Esslemont v IC and The Home Office regarding the application of the s12 FOIA cost limit and Williams, Wickham-Jones and Lownie v IC and The FCDO in relation to the interplay between s23 and s24 FOIA. He edits 5 Essex Chambers’s monthly data protection and information law bulletin, The Data Brief.
