5 Essex Chambers’s Pupillage Committee responds to the BSB’s Consultation “Engagement Programme – Pupillage Gateway Timetable and Written Agreements for Pupillage”

5 Essex Chambers provides up to two 12-month pupillages each year and is due to become an Authorised Education and Training Organisation (‘AETO’) when the scheme starts. Our Pupillage Committee has considerable experience in selecting and training pupils. We won Legal Cheek’s inaugural award for “Best Chambers for Training” in 2018 and were shortlisted for the LexisNexis “Diversity and Inclusion” award 2019. We regularly speak to groups of aspiring pupils at different stages of their training. 5 Essex Chambers's Pupillage Committee is therefore well placed to respond to the BSB's consultation.
