5 Essex Chambers’s Pupillage Committee is today launching its new Instagram account: @5essexcourt_pupillages
The aim of the account is to capture a slice of life at the Bar and give students and future barristers a unique insight into our working lives. We hope that this will continue the work that Chambers has been doing to help demystify the profession and our application process which has included the annual publication of our Pupillage Selection Report.
Chambers has been an early adopter of social media to communicate with students; our @pupillages twitter account launched in 2013 giving students tips and advice about the pupillage process.
Jeremy Johnson QC, Head of the Pupillage Committee, says: “We hope that our Instagram feed will provide a helpful insight into the day to day life of barristers at 5 Essex Chambers for anyone contemplating a career at the Bar.”
Head of Chambers, Jason Beer QC, adds: “Chambers has consistently sought to demystify the profession, in particular to those who wish to become a part of it. I hope that the use of this platform will further that understanding with a broader and more diverse range of people.”
