5 Essex Chambers is deeply saddened to announce the death of Nick Wilcox, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday 14th September

Nick was a stalwart of chambers – he was a member for over 40 years, helped us become a specialist set, and worked tirelessly for the police service up and down the country.  His impact on the development of and ethos within chambers was enormous: he supported the careers of many present and past members of chambers and staff.

We are all devastated. Nick was a kind, decent and humble man.

Our thoughts and love are with Nick's wife, his two children and the rest of his family as they come to terms with this very sad and untimely loss.
